The purpose of Solikassa is to support active engagement outside traditional parliamentary politics. We do this by creating a solidarity platform through which we collectively share responsibility for legal consequences connected to this kind of work. The goal is to prevent financial risks from becoming an individual burden. Everyone should have the opportunity to take part in struggles they believe in, regardless of their financial situation.
Engagement that Solikassa supports includes, but is not limited to, the advocacy of indigenous, environmental, and climate justice struggles, the workers’ movement, international solidarity, the anti-fascist, anti-sexist, anti-racist struggle, as well as the fight against anti-Semitism, militarism and war.
Everyone can become a member of Solikassa and in that way support active engagement through a monthly membership fee that goes right into financing legal costs of Solikassa’s members. Find out more about Solikassa’s memberships and on how to get support.
We encourage people to reduce pressure on the movement by avoiding fines where possible. This means that while appealing cases in court can be tedious, we encourage people not to passively accept fines or voluntarily incriminate themselves, regardless of the tactics or forms of action involved.
Together, we aim to make it easier for those directly affected by repression to navigate these situations in ways that reflect their own needs, capacities, and circumstances.
Remember: You are not alone!
In solidarity,
Solikassa
